“Laura found it very hard to accept her increasing disability following her accident. Her life changed dramatically in every way. Dog A.I.D. saved Laura. It gave her a purpose, restored her sanity, gave her the life she wanted back and a belief in herself. Nesta was with her 24/7 and Laura felt ready to take on the world with Nesta by her side – and she did.”
These beautiful words come from Mrs Jackie Hood, the mum of Laura Hood, and used with her kind permission. Laura was a very special lady and a much-loved Dog A.I.D. client. Her partnership with Dog A.I.D. trained Assistance Dog Nesta shows the life-changing impact of Dog A.I.D.’s work and is why Laura’s mum chose Dog A.I.D. as the recipient of the collection from the funeral service celebrating Laura’s life. This generous gift will help train more partnerships to take on the world - like Laura and Nesta”.
Dog A.I.D. are a Charity dedicated to creating a better future for physically Disabled people and their families.
