She sent us this report:
Location: The Mall, Central London
Vitality 10,000 race
On Bank holiday Monday 29th May I made my way to London from Kent where I live to take part in the Vitality 10,000 race and raise money for Dog A.I.D.
This is a 10k race starting on the Mall at 10am in central London and continues along the Strand, Holborn, St Paul’s before heading back along to Whitehall and finishing outside Buckingham Palace. At the start you cannot believe you are about to start running on the Mall which is so famous in the London marathon.
Caroline from Dog A.I.D sent me my running vest and I ordered some letters so I could have my name on the vest. It is always a help to have the crowds shout your name out to help you on the day. The weather was very humid so I was happy when I finished in exactly an hour.
I was so proud as I crossed the finishing line outside Buckingham palace. I received a medal, finishers t shirt and a goody bag.
I would like to thank Caroline and Dog A.I.D for all their support in helping me to raise money for Dog A.I.D. And a special thank you to Lucy Watts MBE and Molly PDSA Order of Merit who I follow on facebook and inspired me to raise money for Dog A.I.D.
My final total will be an amount of £2,678.25.
With Best wishes to all who are involved in this wonderful charity.
